![]() In order to create such a soundscape, I mainly got inspiration from library music such as Andy Clark and Keith Mansfield since these sounds are associated with the excessive, almost vulgar part of the 80s: fast cars, expensive living, money etc. ![]() ![]() Wall Street for example, is a great movie in my opinion, but the score is more or less classic orchestral movie music with a few exceptions and does not contain the synthetic musical influences I particularly like. ![]() Even though the movies from the 80s are a big inspiration in general for my Synthwave oriented music, the original music accompanying these particular movies is often not the main source of inspiration. My newest album “Money Talks” contains a lot of influences from the musical sound palette of the city of New York in general, and the movies about the excessive living associated with the flourishing stock market around this particular time period in particular.
